Armiñán, Jaime de

   Filmmaker
   Armiñán works as television director, scriptwriter and film director. In the 1970s he co-directed with Borau Mi querida señorita (My Dear Miss) (1971), a compassionate story of a transsexual, and El amor del Capitán Brando (Captain Brando's Love) (1974). His study of the relationship between the elderly hero and the young girl (played by Ana Torrent) in El nido (The Nest) (1980) was a major success. Other films of the 1980s include the comedy Stico (1984) and La hora bruja (The Witching Hour) (1985). Two films of the 1990s, El otro lado del túnel (The Other End of the Tunnel) and El palomo cojo (The Lame Pigeon) were selected for showing at Berlin and San Sebastián respectively.
